Self-hardening furan resin for casting is a thermosetting resin synthesized from furfuryl alcohol, formaldehyde, and urea that can harden sand molds (cores) through acid catalysis at room temperature and contains furan rings in the structure.

2. Related introduction

1、Chemical corrosion-resistant materials furan resin can be used to prepare anti-corrosion mastic, used as chemical equipment lining or other corrosion-resistant materials.

2、Heat-resistant materials furan glass fiber reinforced composites have higher heat resistance than the general phenolic glass fiber reinforced composites, usually can be used at about 150℃ for a long time.

3, mixed with epoxy resin or phenolic resin modified furan resin and epoxy resin or phenolic resin mixed rest use can improve the mechanical properties of furan glass fiber reinforced composites and the preparation of the process performance. These composites have been widely used in the preparation of chemical reactor stirring devices, tanks and pipelines, and other chemical equipment.
