2. Related introduction

Recarburizer generally refers to a recarburizer that has undergone graphitization. Under high-temperature conditions, the arrangement of carbon atoms is in the microscopic form of graphite, so it is called graphitization. Graphitization can reduce the content of impurities in the recarburizer, increase the carbon content of the recarburizer, and reduce the sulfur content.


3. Precautions for the application of recarburizer during use

A. Time to add recarburizer

First of all, in terms of time, if the casting recarburizer is added too early, it is particularly easy to make it adhere to the bottom of the furnace, and the recarburizer adhering to the furnace wall is not easy to be melted into the molten iron. On the contrary, if the additional time is too late, then the opportunity to increase carbon will be lost, resulting in slow smelting and heating time. This not only delays the time of chemical composition analysis and adjustment but also may cause harm due to excessive heating.

B. How to join

In the method of adding, do not add the casting recarburizer at once, but add it in several times. Put about a pack of molten iron into the ladle, and then return the recarburizer to the furnace 1-2 times, then slag. Add alloy. Adding too much plastic carbon at one time may cause the following problems:

The recarburizer is difficult to absorb when observed.

The ash content of the recarburizer is too much and the particle distribution is uneven.

Too much nitrogen is brought into the recarburizer, resulting in too much nitrogen in the finished product.
